Doctor's appointment

Well I had another doctor's appointment and everything looks great. It was fun to hear Camden's heartbeat again and the doctor also told me that he was still in the right position (head down) to be born....now all he has to do is stay in that position for 2 more months, l.o.l!!!!! Also my doctor said I passed my glucose test with flying colors...WAHOO!!!!

belly picture and date night

Better late then never....Nathaniel and I had a GREAT date night the other week. I surprised him with decorating our table for a candle lit dinner and delicious food, YUM!!! We then made Ginger bread houses... Where Nathaniel decided to make a MANSION out of the graham crackers, but then he ran out of frosting and couldn't decorate the rest of the house to much, l.o.l!!! (the first picture is of the beautiful flowers that Nathaniel got for me!!!)
HIS HANDS WERE COVERED IN FROSTING!!!!

He didn't know I was taking a picture....instead he is looking at me like I am crazy :

Random question......

Has anyone out there ever heard of or used the belly bandit after child birth?????

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

I did it......

I drank Glucola......and it wasn't that bad. They also had it refrigerated so I think that helped a ton. The worst part was getting my blood drawn....and once again I always dread it but I didn't even feel a pinch or anything from the needle!!!

NOW THE WAITING PART, if I had my guess I don't have gestational diabetes, but who knows....I guess I will find out next week at my doctor's appt......Keep your fingers crossed that I wont have to go in and take the three hour test!!!!!

The Third Trimester

I have now made it to the third trimester....wow time is FLYING by and I can not believe that there are less then 100 days until my due date! As you can tell my belly is definently expanding and I can feel Camden kicking/punching/moving all of the time, especially the past couple of days it feels like he is constantly moving (especially in the middle of the night). I haven't taken my glucose test yet, but my doctor doesn't seemed concerned as long as I take it by the time I am 30 weeks...so the plan is for me next week to go into Labs and drink the dreaded glucola drink....YUCK!!!!! :) I am super excited for Christmas this year though. Nathaniel has two weeks of vacation (wahoo) and we are flying into Washington in a couple of weeks to spend Christmas with Nathaniel's family! It will be a TON of fun and I can not wait!!!!
Well I think that's about it. No more new news on my pregnancy, pretty much the same old same old, I am feeling great...just getting bigger and bigger...eveyrwhere...hahaha!!!!

Christmas and Dishes...

I HATE doing the dishes, but only when Nathaniel is around. When I am home all day and there are dishes, I love doing them, it is something to keep me busy and occupied for a little bit, BUT as soon as Nathaniel gets home I hate doing them.....GOOD THING, I married such an AMAZING guy...because every night after dinner he gladly does the dishes, he is absolutely wonderful!!!
I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME!!! I love the snow and the decorations. I love when you go to the mall it smells all christmas-y, I LOVE that you get to see family and everyone has a great time. AND I LOVE PUTTING UP A CHRISTMAS TREE!!! This year though our tree was shipped down to Fort Hood and we are leaving MO on the 18th to fly to Nathaniel's home, so we didn't want to buy a real tree since we will only be here until the 18th and we didn't want to buy another fake one.......SO THE SOLUTION............................
Make a tree out of the card board left over that your bedroom set came in and nail it to the wall!!!! We love our 7 1/2 foot tree!!!!

BABY Camden

Here is a picture of the car seat we got for Camden (THANKS mom a TON for buying us the carseat and stroll, it is a huge help!!!) We love the color and can't wait until camden is here to use it :)
Not quite the best picture, but I am not sure I will like any picture of me until after I have camden and lose all the baby weight, l.o.l!!! I am 25 weeks here...only 15 more weeks (12 more weeks until he is considered full term, if he decided to come a little early :)!!!!

Teddy = the crazy dog

Here are some pictures of Teddy, the puppy I watch during the day for Nathaniel's friend! He is one crazy dog, and I am again realizing that I will never own a dog myself, but for now it has been a good way to earn some extra cash, l.o.l :)

UP-DATE!!!

Nathaniel's schooling is now in full swing, I just asked him if he was liking school and he just looked at me like crazy!!! But really I think he is enjoying it, Nathaniel ALWAYS has to be doing something or accomplishing something or it drives him crazy, so I think he enjoys being busy! This past tuesday Nathaniel had a mandatory "social" for all BOLC 3 students here at Fort Leonard Wood and some how I got roped into going with him....So we arrive at this social thingamajig...AND I was the only one in CIVILIAN clothing...That's right for the first 20 minutes I was the only wife there with about 60 soldiers...I definently felt a bit ackward!! But then the guys from Nathaniel's company that I know started showing up and it turned into a GREAT time. Nathaniel has a great company and it is always a ton of fun being with them, we thought we would be the first ones to leave but ended up being the last ones out of there because we had such a great time talking with everyone!
Nathaniel still LOVES socializing and we still ended up throwing some get together at our house 2 to 3 times a week! Usually it involves delicious food (aka PIZZA) and a game of CATAN!!! At first I hated that he ALWAYS wanted people over at our house, But when I met the other wives at the social the other day and they didn't know anyone, I was thankful that I was friends with most of the guys and girls from Nathaniel's company, and even if I didn't know them they still came up and talked to me because they had heard about me!!!
Nathaniel has also decided not to attend Sapper school because he wants to be around when Camden is born, WHICH I am very Thankful for :) It is going to be a CRAZY/life changing time and it would be very hard without him there! BUT this means we will need to report to Fort Hood on March 25....21 days after my due date...WOW, life is going to be busy, we are keeping our fingers crossed that Camden will decide to come just a little bit early! ALSO Nathaniel's dad and brother are coming to visit us in Texas in April (hopefully :) and that is when we have also decided to bless Camden!!!

NOW ON TO ME...THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!! I am doing great, the pregnancy is going fantastic....and except the expanding Belly......and butt and thighs and everything else, I don't have any other pregnancy symptons, which I am very thankful for. We had a ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and Camden is growing like a weed, we got to see his 10 little fingers and 10 little toes and he kept on sticking his tongue out..it was ADORABLE!!! Although I fear by the time he comes that I will weigh close to 300 pounds, hahaha, o well :)
During the day I watch a cute little puppy named Teddy, his owner is in Nathaniel's company, but lives in the officers barracks and can't have the dog in there during the day because of the house cleaners, so I offered to watch him, it's a great way to earn a little bit of cash....although he is still a puppy, which means HOUSE TRAINING!!! He is doing a lot better now though, with going to the bathroom outside!!!

Nathaniel and I are having a great time here in Missouri. This past week, he had off for veterans day so we drove to Branson, MO and enjoyed a "broad-way" type of show, the day was great.
We are loving our ward here, and was actually just called to the Nursery today :) Our ward has a little over 20 nursery kids, so it's a BIT crazy, but we enjoy it! We also have a FABULOUS ward. Yesterday we got to attend the temple with them for our ward temple trip, it was such a neat experience. Then today after church we enjoyed lunch with the ward at the "linger-longer" and brought a pie to help fill up baskets for needy families for Thanksgiving!
Nathaniel and I have also made great friends with a couple that just moved in down the street from us. Blake is in Nathaniel's company and they found out last week that they were both LDS and became pretty good friends, so we had them and their little 1 year old boy over for dinner and ever since then we have gotten together several times, we all have a great time together :) Sara is also pregnant with their second child, she is a couple of months behind me, but it's still a lot of fun talking about our pregnancies...ALSO now i never have to go to the officer wives events by myself!!!

Well I think that is about it! We are doing great and LOVING life!!!!

The 19 week belly!!!!

It is true, I now have a baby bumb....although today I am thinking it looks like a baby mountain. l.o.l!!! The pregnancy is going along great, most days I feel the baby doing little summersaults in my belly...BUT last night I was laying in bed on my back and I felt him moving around so I put my hand on my belly and Camden gave it a little kick...it was AMAZING, so of course I had to call Nathaniel right away...Did I mention it was around 11:30 p.m. his time?!?! haha, but he was SUPER excited to hear that I felt the baby kick my hand!!!

P.S. I get to see Nathaniel in 2 weeks and 5 days, WAHOO!!!!!

IT'S A........

baby...at least that is what my mom said all week long when anyone asked her what the gender of the baby was!!! But I am NICE and I wont leave you in suspense any longer....WE ARE HAVING A HANDSOME ADORABLE LITTLE BOY!!! Nathaniel and I are thrilled and so excited for our little son and actually already have his name choosen out, we are going to name him Camden Alexander Clark!!! It was SOOO exciting to tell Nathaniel he was going to have a son, it makes me smile just thinking about that now, he will make a great dad and we are excited for this new adventure in our lives!!!

My mom now knows....

whether our baby is a girl or a boy!!! Now you my wonder, why doesn't Nathaniel and Sarah know?!?! Well, we will blame it on Nathaniel....HAHAHA...Nathaniel came up with this good idea (since he is away at BOLC until the end of OCT.) that while I am in Utah I can go and find out the Gender (thanks Alaina for the idea, I am so happy that I dont have to wait until Nov. when I am back in MO) BUT........that I have to wait until my baby shower (Sept 26th) to find out what it is!!! So that's right, only my mom knows what we are having and next week, in some creative way, she is going to annouce it to me and everyone at the baby shower!!! It really is a WAY cute idea...but I AM SO NOT PATIENT enough :) O well, I haven definently learned the best things in life are worth the wait!!!
So check back next saturday to find out if we are having a cute little boy or a cute little girl!!! P.S. I did get to look at the ultrasound when it was showing our baby's face and he/she was sucking their thumb, it was amazing and I am already absolutely in love with this baby!!!

HIKING and MILLER CAVE

Nathaniel and I spent this last saturday checking out Miller caver here on Fort Leonard Wood, it was really cool, until we forgot our flash lights, of course that didn't stop nathaniel from exploring deeper (and darker) in the cave and he then decided to use the flash on our camera every few moments to see where we were going!!! He thought it was SOOO much fun, I did to, until I realized there were bats in the cave, and then I couldn't wait to get out, hahaha!!!
All in all things are going great here in MO! I was able to see a great friend last week, Alaina and her cute family, who I haven't seen since she was a nanny out in New York! Nathaniel and I also had a great dinner date friday night with our friends, Cait and Even down the street!
Fun things happening this week is that my parents and sister our flying into St Louis this friday and we are taking a fun road trip back to Utah, but on a sad note, that means Nathaniel is off to BOLC at Fort benning, GA this week until the end of October :(
Well that is about it for now, hopefully more exciting news will come soon (about 3 weeks until we find out the gender of our baby :)

Our little peanut....

Our little baby is now officially 11 weeks and 1 day! It was Amazing seeing our baby kicking it's legs and it kept putting it's arms on the side of it's face! It is definently one of the most amazing things I have experienced!

IT'S A GIRL.....

Ok fine we don't know if it is a boy or a girl yet (5 more weeks until we can find out, but Nathaniel will be off to Georgia, so we are going to wait until November to find out when we are together)...but we are having a BABY!!!! Our little baby is due on March 4th, 2010, and we are SO EXCITED!!!! The reasoning for the title of the post, is because if my pregnancy is just like all of my sister's (morning sickness wise) it is like all of them who had girls....although Nathaniel is still hoping for a boy...I think the thought of having a little girl scares him!!! But he will be a GREAT dad!!!!
We are Just SOOO excited!!!!

FORT LOST IN THE WOODS.....

We officially made it to Fort Leonard Wood, MO last tuesday night at 11 p.m.!!! We were definently exhausted and couldn't wait to get into our lodging that Nathaniel had set up on post....at least that was the plan :) When we went to go check in they said that they didn't know Nathaniel was bringing his wife so they booked him in a bachlor room with a room-mate, so we thought ok no problem we will just change the reservation to married lodging....but those rooms were completely booked!!! So we ended up at a motel 6 a couple of miles off of post and the next morning Nathaniel headed off to work!!! GOOD NEWS...is that we only ended up staying in the hotel for about 4 days when Nathaniel came back to the hotel room really excited and told us that we got a house on post....WAHOO (some people have been on the waiting list for a year and most people just end up renting off post, so we are very lucky :) Even better is that the house we got was just renovated, so we have new appliances, new flooring, new paint.....did I mention that I LOVE OUR HOUSE!!!!
Missouri is actually a very beautiful place....it reminds me a TON of New York where I used to live! and the best part, is the humidity this summer so far has not been bad at all :) Although there are a TON of bugs...YUCK :)
Nathaniel does leave for Fort. Benning the first part of Sept. until the end of Oct....but my parents and sister are flying out here and we are taking a road trip and seeing a TON of cool sites and then we are heading back to Utah where I am going to stay while Nathaniel is gone!!!
Well I better go, Nathaniel has today OFF....and we are going out furniture shopping....I AM SOOOO EXCITED :)

Wedding Day...

May 30th 2009 was one of the happiest days! Nathaniel and I were sealed for eternity in the Jordan River Temple!!! The day went so smoothly and there was no stress at all, which was GREAT....I would definently tell everyone to hire someone to do everything on their wedding day...it makes for a more relaxed day for sure!
The Luncheon my in-laws hosted that day was fabulous! They hired a caterer to cater DELICIOUS hawaiin food..YUM!!! The right after the luncheon the wedding party went to a local park and took more pictures (Nathaniel was definently done with pictures by this point, l.o.l) and then we all headed over to the reception! Honeymoon Pictures!

Nathaniel and I had a great time on our honeymoon. We were able to fly to Rome and spent three days touring around Rome until our cruise started! It was amazing to visit the colosseum, the Pantheon, the Trivi Fountain, and the MANY Piazza's they have in Rome, also we were able to visit the Vatican City, but because it was Sunday we did not get to see the Sistine Chapel because it is closed on Sunday, but we were able to visit St. Peter's Basilica's and the crypt's of the pope's! It was amazing to be able to visit so many sites while in Rome!
On our Cruise we went to Lucca/Pisa, where we visited the ancient city of Lucca and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We then went to Monte Carlo, which was definently the cleanest city we visited while on our honeymoon, it was beautiful and very well taken care of. After Monte Carlo we went to Barcelona, Spain (sorry no pictures, our camera had died and we forgot to charge the battery!), but we were able to walk all around Barcelona and at the end of the day we made our way to the Mediterranean and sat on the beach!!! We then went to Palma (an Island in the mediterranean) and went on a bike tour of the city! The streets were cobblestone and beautiful! It was armed Forces day in Palma so we were able to see many parades that day! After Palma we headed down to Africa!!! Tunis was a great place to visit, Nathaniel and I both agree our tour guide in Tunis was our favorite! We visited the ancient site in Carthage and ancient Roman baths...the Romans were quite serious about there bathing....it was a all day social event!!!
We then made our way up to Sicily! while there we visited the city's crypt, where they have mummified bodies hanging up on the wall...some even still had hair....ewwww....but Nathaniel thought it was really cool :)
After Sicily we went to Naples, it was amazing to visit the ruins of pomei, the ruins are in such good condition, it was easy to imagine the inhabitants life on a day to day bases, then seeing mount versuvius rising behind the city you can imagine the fear of the people on the day it erupted and killed the 30,000 inhabitants!
And then we made it back to the port we started at in Italy! We spent 5 more days in Italy trying to catch a Space A flight back to the states, it was actually great because we spent another day in downtown Naples and spend time with our friend Barrett's family, who is stationed in Italy! We then made it back to the states, it is definently always great to be home again, especially when you have great memories to remember your trip by!
